Will only doing yoga help in losing weight??

If so which type of yoga help??




Can Yoga help me lose weight?

My main concern is that I would like to learn how to meditate properly and get good at it. I became interested in Yoga because I knew it was good for your health and offered other benefits besides just meditation.

I'm not obese or overweight, but I would like to lose a little fat around my midsection. Except when I was in track and cross country in high school, I've always had horrible flexibility and almost never been able to touch my toes.

Also, I've been told by a trainer at a one-time training session and a chiropractor that my back seems to be the very weakest muscle in my lower body, namely my lower back.

Besides losing weight, can you also gain either some muscle mass or at least muscle endurance?
